spiced oatmeal

INGREDIENTS

1 cup rolled oats

2 cups turmeric ginger tea (click here for recipe)

1/4 cup canned coconut cream or milk

2 Tbsp maple syrup, honey, or sugar

2 Tbsp chia seeds (optional)

salt, to taste

2 Tbsp collagen powder or vanilla protein powder (optional)

1/4 tsp ground cinnamon, to top

1/4 tsp ginger powder, to top

2 Tbsp chopped pecans, to top

STEPS

  1. Combine oats, tea, coconut cream, sweetener, chia seeds, and salt in a small pot and cook over low-medium heat for 10 minutes, stirring frequently.

  2. Stir in collagen powder, if adding, and top with cinnamon, ginger, and pecans. For added sweetness, sprinkle sugar on top.
